Okay so when creating a character - What's more important then figuring out what kind of job your character has?
I think this is one of the most important things that you should know....
Give them a job that you personally know how to do! If you're playing a doctor and have never set foot in any type of medical field job then you probably don't know what the hell you're talking about. So you can familiarize yourself with some doctor speak by going to a few websites and studying...
Same goes for if you're a lawyer : Know your shit...
If you choose an auto mechanic - you probably should have some working knowledge about cars and how they work...
bartender - you should know how to make a blood Mary or other drinks lol
The reason this is important : SO you DON'T wind up sounding like an idiot! That is all...
